Liebster Blog Award

I received the Liebster blog award from The Bubblehead Bride, whose name alone cracks me up – plus her blog is fabulous.  Thanks, BB!

What’s a Liebster Award you ask?
Liebster is a German word meaning dearest, and the award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers who deserve some recognition and support to keep on blogging.  It’s also a great way to discover new blogs!

Here are the rules:

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter and link back to their blog.
2. Share 11 things about yourself and answer the questions given to you.
3. Nominate 5 blogs that you enjoy to receive the award who have less than 200 followers, and provide them with questions to answer about themselves.
4. Inform them of their nomination by leaving a comment on their blog.

11 Things About Me

1. I’m 30, but I haven’t decided if I’m going to go on to 31 this month.  31 feels drastically older than 30.

2. NavyGuy and I have been married for almost four years, together for nine years, and friends for twelve years.  It feels both like a really long time, and no time at all!

3. Our dog, Tally, is the best thing we’ve ever bought 🙂  She’s the perfect companion, and has spoiled us for ever being able to get another dog.

4. I used to be high school social studies teacher.

5. Now, I’m a Navy wife, crafter, graduate-degree-seeker, babysitter, and household executive manager (I do the laundry and such).

6. Kids are in our future… but not just this second.  In the meantime, I enjoy spoiling my friends’ kids and various godbabies.

7. I have IBS, which in my case, means I have to be a careful consumer of food and drink.  Getting diagnosed last summer has also encouraged me to work out more and generally take better care of my overall health.

8. I love movies and television and books.  Lately, I’ve become a science fiction / fantasy nerd…. Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, superhero movies, dystopian novels.  It’s horribly embarrassing, but there seems to be no stopping it.

9. My celebrity dinner party guest list would include: Tina Fey, Brian Williams, Aaron Rodgers, Jon Stewart, and Duchess Kate.

10. I can’t stand pork chops, mushrooms, or grape flavored anything.

11. My travel bucket list includes Ireland, Alaska, and Australia.
